Removal & Installation: Installation
- Ensure camshaft pulley mark is aligned with upper surface of head and dowel pin is at 12 o'clock position. Ensure Woodruff key of crankshaft is in 12 o'clock position. Install timing belt. See Fig 1. Tighten tensioner bolt, and rotate crankshaft 2 revolutions.
- Check timing marks. Loosen tensioner bolt and remove slack from timing belt. There must be no slack in the belt after it has been installed.
- To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Adjust drive belts to proper tension.
