Alternator Replacement

Remove

1. Negative battery cable.
2. Terminal connector and battery lead from the back of the generator
3. Drive belt.
4. Bolt at the back of the generator.
5. Two mounting bolts.
6. Generator from the mounting bracket.

Install

1. Generator (and oil filler tube bracket on the 4.3L engine) to the mounting bracket with bolts.
2. Bolt at the back of the generator.
3. Drive belt.

- Tighten the bolts:

Top 34 N.m (25 Ft. lbs.)
Bottom 50 N.m (37 Ft. lbs.)

4. Terminal connector and battery lead to the back of the generator.
5. Negative battery cable.
