Test Description

Numbers below refer to circled numbers in diagnostic chart.

1. Checks to ensure good connections at lateral accelerometer and ECBM.
2. Checks for short to ground in power supply and signal circuits.
3. Checks for short to battery voltage in signal and ground circuits.
4. Checks for continuity in power supply circuit through accelerometer, and back to ECBM.
5. Checks for open in signal circuit wiring.
6. Checks for correct voltage supply to accelerometer from ECBM. If voltage is correct, ECBM must be incorrectly setting code, and should be replaced.
