Code A077, Left Front Solenoid Circuit Shorted To Ground Or: Notes

DRIVER CIRCUIT OPEN

This code identifies a solenoid that cannot be energized due to an open in driver circuit, or a short to ground between solenoid driver and solenoid. These faults can affect ABS operation since flow of brake fluid to wheel cylinder cannot be stopped, making ABS operation for that channel impossible.

1. Checks for internal solenoid short.
2. Checks for incorrect solenoid resistance.
3. Tests for short to ground in solenoid circuit.
4. Tests for open in solenoid circuit.
