Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Ignition Module And Coils Assembly:

Ignition Module Assembly Replacement:

The crankshaft sensor is located behind the DIS assembly.

REMOVAL
- Disconnect negative battery cable.
- Disconnect DIS assembly.
- Disconnect sensor screws (2).
- Remove sensor from DIS assembly.


INSPECT
- Crankshaft sensor O-ring for wear, cracks, or leakage. Replace if necessary. Lube O-ring with engine oil before installing.


INSTALLATION
- Install sensor to DIS assembly.
- Install sensor screws. Torque to 27 Nm (20 lb ft).
- Connect DIS assembly to engine.
- Connect negative battery cable.
