Cruise control operation is controlled by Powertrain Control Module (PCM). PCM receives and processes inputs from cruise control (C/C) engage switch, brake switch, vehicle speed sensor, TPS and servo position sensor. Based on these inputs, PCM sends output signals to the vacuum and vent solenoids at servo. The vacuum and vent solenoids control amount of vacuum in servo diaphragm.
