Test B - (Power Circuit Open Test)

  1. Check RADIO fuse (CRUISE fuse on Cavalier). Ensure cruise control module connector terminal "J" is grounded. Disconnect multifunction lever connector (behind instrument panel, near steering column). See Figure . Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage at Brown/White wire (Yellow wire on Sunbird) of harness half of connector.
  2. If battery voltage is present, go to next step. If battery voltage is not present, repair Yellow or Brown/White wire between multifunction lever connector and fuse block.
  3. Place cruise control main switch in ON position. Check continuity between Black wire and other Black wire of multifunction lever connector (switch side). If continuity is not present, replace multifunction lever.
