ECM Data Line

  1. If all components cannot be accessed with a scan tool, check the Orange 461 circuit wire for an open between the Data Link Connector (DLC) terminal "M" and splice S237. See Figure and WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  2. If a single component cannot be accessed with a scan tool, check the Orange 461 circuit wire for an open between the component and splice S237. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
  3. If wire is okay, perform ECM replacement check. See ECM REPLACEMENT CHECK in BASIC TESTING article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE or DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK in ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM ABS-VI article in BRAKES.
