One Mirror Does Not Operate In Left/Right Positions

  1. Disconnect inoperative power mirror connector. On left mirror, connect test light between White wire at left power mirror and ground. On right mirror, connect test light between Red/White wire at right power mirror and ground. With inoperative mirror selected, move power mirror switch to right position. If test light glows, go to next step. If test light does not glow, check for poor connection or open in White or Red/White wire between power mirror switch and appropriate power mirror. If circuit is okay, replace power mirror switch.
  2. On Lumina and Monte Carlo, check for poor connections at inoperative power mirror connector. If connections are okay, replace inoperative power mirror motor pack. On all other models, on left mirror, connect test light between White and Light Green wires at left power mirror connector. On right mirror, connect test light between Red/White and Light Blue/White wires at right power mirror connector. Move power mirror switch to right position. If test light does not glow, go to next step. If test light glows, check for poor connections at inoperative power mirror. If connections are okay, replace inoperative mirror motor pack.
  3. On left mirror, check for poor connections or open in Light Green wire between power mirror switch and left power mirror. If connections and circuit are okay, replace power mirror switch. On right mirror, repair poor connections or open in Light Blue/White wire between power mirror switch and right power mirror.
