Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable at battery.
2. Remove serpentine belt.
3. Raise vehicle.
4. Right air deflector and splash shield.
5. Compressor attaching bolts.
6. Compressor and position aside.
7. Bracket.

Important

- Any repair to the A/C compressor or the A/C belt system will require loosening some A/C bracket bolts. To prevent future torque loss after re-tightening of these bolts, the bolt or stud should be replaced with an appropriate bolt or stud OR apply Loctite(R) 242 or equivalent to the bolt or stud threads. Follow the package instructions for best retention.

Install or Connect

1. Bracket.
2. Compressor and compressor attaching bolts.
3. Right air deflector and splash shield.
4. Lower vehicle.
5. Serpentine belt.
6. Negative battery cable.
