Camshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Camshaft Position Sensor Replacement


REMOVAL PROCEDURE

CAUTION: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Cautions and Notices.




1. Raise the vehicle.
2. Remove the RH tire assembly.
3. Remove the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.




4. Remove the CMP sensor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.




1. Install the Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.

Tighten
Tighten the CMP sensor bolt to 10 N.m (7.5 lb in).




2. Install the CMP sensor electrical connector.
3. Install the R.H. tire assembly.
4. Lower the vehicle.
