Removal & Installation (3.5L)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 36 other vehicles, including the 2001 Saturn SW2, 2001 Saturn SL2, 2001 Saturn SL1, 2001 Saturn SL, and 2001 Saturn SC2. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

NOTE: Ignition control module and ignition coil can not be serviced separately. Replace module and coil as an assembly.

Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect electrical connector from ignition control module (ICM). Remove cover from coils. Remove ICM screws. Remove ignition control module.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
