Electrical Load Signal

On Metro & Firefly (Canadian), PCM monitors a signal from electric load diode. When an electrical load is detected (blower motor request, rear defogger request, or headlights request), PCM will adjust idle speed using Idle Speed Control (ISC) motor. When signal from electric load diode is removed, PCM will return engine to normal idle speed.

On Prizm, PCM monitors a signal from component. PCM receives an idle-up signal when either headlight switch or rear defogger switch are turned on.
