Vehicle Speed Sensor (Speedometer Mounted)

The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is an electronic relay mounted on transaxle. As transaxle rotates VSS, voltage pulses are provided to speedometer. Speedometer converts vehicle speed input into a waveform and provides PCM and cruise control module (if equipped) with its own vehicle speed input. This pulse is converted by PCM and interpreted as vehicle speed.
