Temperature Control Lever

When temperature control lever is moved to full hot (right) position, the air mix door opens fully, allowing all airflow through heater core to selected outlets. See Figure. In full cold (left) position, the air mix door closes off airflow through heater core. Adjusting the air temperature control lever allows regulation of temperature by allowing more or less air to by-pass heater core.
