July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article. Locate PCM under right side of instrument panel. Remove 2 plastic retainers and remove PCM cover.
  2. Disconnect PCM harness connectors. Remove 2 PCM retaining bolts. Slide PCM forward and out of mounting bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure. If new PCM is being installed, it must be programmed. See COMPUTER RELEARN PROCEDURES article in GENERAL INFORMATION.
