System Operation Check: Front

Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Turn washer switch to OFF position and press washer switch. Wipers should operate at low speed. Washer should spray as long as switch is held in ON position. After switch is released, washer should stop and wipers should return to Park position after 2-4 sweeps. With switch in DELAY position, wipers should make one complete sweep, and then pause 1-22 seconds before next sweep, depending on delay setting.

With switch In LOW position, wipers should run continuously at low speed. With switch in HIGH position, wipers should run continuously at a higher rate of speed. When switch is pushed down to MIST position, wipers should cycle once and return to Park position. If wiper system does not function properly, diagnose by symptom. See SYMPTOM TESTS  .
