Diagnostic Tests: Notes

CAUTION: For any test that requires probing Powertrain Control Module (PCM) or component harness connectors, use Connector Test Adapter Kit (J-35616-A). This will prevent damage to harness connector terminals.

NOTE: Before clearing DTCs, perform powertrain diagnostic system check. See POWERTRAIN DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK . Record FREEZE FRAME/FAILURE RECORDS for reference during testing. Data will be erased when DTCs are cleared.

NOTE: For component locations, see appropriate SYSTEM & COMPONENT TESTING article. If PCM is replaced, NEW PCM must be programmed using required or special manufacturer's equipment.
