Shift Select Cable: Removal

  1. Remove the 6 screws (1-6) from the console. See Figure. Remove the center console from the vehicle. Remove the rear console from the vehicle.
  2. Remove the 2 screws and the selector lever knob (1) from the selector lever. Remove the shifter plate. Moving towards the selector knob, disconnect the indicator lamp. See Figure.
  3. Remove the front carpet retainers, and pull back the carpet. Remove the clip and the shift select cable from the bracket. Remove the one nut and the shift select cable from the manual shift lever. See Figure.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts from the bulkhead grommet. Remove the shift select cable (3) from the bulkhead at the transaxle side. See Figure.
