Solenoid Pull-In & Hold-In Resistance Test

  1. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between solenoid terminal "S" and terminal "M". If resistance is 5.0 ohms or less, pull-in coil is open. Replace solenoid.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance between solenoid terminal "S" and solenoid housing. If resistance is 5.0 ohms or less, hold-in coil is open. Replace solenoid.
