Crankshaft Position Sensor: Removal

  1. Turn ignition off. Raise and support vehicle. Remove steering linkage shield mounting bolts and steering linkage shield (if equipped).
  2. Disconnect Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor harness connector. CKP sensor harness connector is located on front of engine, behind crankshaft pulley. See Fig 1 . Remove CKP sensor mounting bolt and CKP sensor.
