Powertrain Control Module: Installation

  1. Install the connectors to the PCM. Tighten the connectors to 71 INCH lbs. (8 N.m).
  2. Carefully reinstall the PCM (3) and harness into the PCM housing (2). See Fig 1 .
  3. Reinstall the air cleaner housing cover assembly (1). See Fig 1 .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. If a replacement PCM is being installed, the new PCM must be programmed. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
