Installation Procedure

- Install the grille (3) to the vehicle.
- Align the locating pins (5) on the bottom of the grille (3) with the pockets on the radiator support.
Lower the grille (3) into position.
- Align the locating pin (2) and the retainers at the top of the radiator grille (3) with the slots in the radiator support.
Press the retainers into place.
CAUTION: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems. - Install the bolts (4) that retain the radiator grille (3) to the radiator support.
Tighten
Tighten the bolts that retain the radiator grille to the radiator support to 1 N.m (9 in lbs).
- Install the park/turn signal lamp. Refer to PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (RPO X88/Z88 or PARK/TURN SIGNAL LAMP REPLACEMENT (RPOT90) .
- Install the side marker lamp. Refer to MARKER LAMP REPLACEMENT - SIDE (RPO T90) or MARKER LAMP REPLACEMENT - SIDE (RPO X88/Z88) .
- Close the hood.
