Removal Procedure

  1. Open the door.
  2. Remove the door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
    3. Fig 1: Identifying Rocker Panel Door Sill Retainers

  3. Remove the rocker panel door sill retainers using the J 36796  .
  4. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  5. Remove the front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  6. Remove the wheelhouse liner. Refer to Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Front in Body Front End.

  7. Remove the rocker panel fasteners.
  8. Slide the panel outward to remove from clip.

  9. Pull downward to release the lower rocker panel retainers.
  10. Remove the rocker panel from the vehicle.
