Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the electrical connector to the steering wheel control switch.
  2. Position the steering wheel control switch to the steering wheel.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

  4. Install the screws to the steering wheel control switch.

    Tighten:  Tighten the steering wheel control switch screws to 2 N.m (19 lb in).

  5. Inspect the operation of the steering wheel control switch.
  6. Install the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement in SIR.
  7. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 in SIR.
