Preliminary Procedures
- Heat the windshield name decal using a J-25070:
gun or equivalent, 152 mm (6 in) from the glass surface.
- Apply the heat using a circular motion, for about 30 seconds.
- Remove the decal from the surface using a plastic, flat-bladed tool.
- Remove all adhesive from the surface using a 3M™ Scotch Brite molding adhesive remover disk, 3M™ P/N 07501, or equivalent.
- Clean the surface using 3M™ General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner, P/N 08984 or equivalent.
