Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the shock sensor mounting surface is clean and free of all oils.
  1. Install the shock sensor to the instrument panel knee bolster bracket.
  2. Connect the shock sensor electrical connector.
    IMPORTANT: Verify proper shock sensor operation.
  3. Install the left instrument panel insulator. Refer to CLOSEOUT/INSULATOR PANEL REPLACEMENT - RIGHT .
