Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the PASS-Key* III module to the vehicle.
  2. Install the electrical connector and wires to the column.
  3. Slide the PASS-Key* III module over the ignition lock cylinder housing.
  4. Connect the electrical connector at the base to the steering column.
  5. Install the upper column shroud.
  6. Install the ignition lock Cylinder. Refer to IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT -- ON VEHICLE (CYLINDER ROTATES) or IGNITION LOCK CYLINDER REPLACEMENT -- ON VEHICLE (UNABLE TO ROTATE CYLINDER) .
  7. Install the IP bolster. Refer to KNEE BOLSTER REPLACEMENT .
  8. Program the theft deterrent system. Refer to Programming That Deterrent System Components .
