Assembly Procedure

Fig 1: View Of Power Steering Pump Control Valve Assembly

Install the flow control spring (5), if removed from the pump housing (1).
Lubricate the new O-ring seal (3) with power steering fluid.
Install the O-ring seal (3) onto the connector and fitting assembly (2).
Install the control valve assembly (4).

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Install the connector and fitting assembly (2).
Tighten: Tighten the connector and fitting assembly to 75 N.m (55 lb ft).
