Installation Procedure

  1. Install the new speed sensor and O-ring seal using J 38417  . See Special Tools .
  2. Coat the seal with a thin film of transmission fluid.
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  4. Install the harness connector.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Refill the fluid as required.
