Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Slide the ECM into the bracket on the battery tray.
  2. Push down on the ECM until the retaining tab snaps into place.

  4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors (1) to the ECM.
  5. Slide the lever locks to the down position in order to engage the engine wiring harness electrical connectors.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LE5, LE9, LY7) .
  7. If a NEW ECM was installed, program the ECM. Refer to Control Module References .
