July 1: So it begins. Don't worry, this is not in the correct legal jurisdiction!

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the center console. Refer to (Center Console Removal) in Interior Trim.
  2. Remove the shift knob. Refer to Shift Control Knob Replacement .
  3. Remove the illumination lamp from the shift indicator.
  4. Depress the retaining tabs holding that retain the shift indicator, using a screwdriver or other appropriate tool.

  5. Raise the shift indicator off of the shift control base.
