Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Fig 1: Disconnecting Lower Control Arms

  4. Remove the ball stud to steering knuckle pinch bolt and nut.
  5. Lower the control arm in order to separate the ball stud from the steering knuckle.

  7. Remove the lower control arm to frame bolts. Discard the bolts.
  8. Remove the lower control arm from the vehicle.
