Removal Procedure

- Remove the rear shelf trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Impala) or Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf (Monte Carlo) in Interior Trim.
- Remove the screws from the child seat tether brackets.
- For Impala only, rotate the child seat tether brackets 90 degrees in order to remove the child seat tether brackets from the slot.
- Remove the child seat tether brackets from the rear shelf.
IMPORTANT:
The child seat tether brackets have an anti-rotation tab. For Impala only, you must rotate this tab 90 degrees (Impala only) in order to remove or install the tether to the rear shelf.
