Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Montana, 2002 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and 2002 Chevrolet Venture. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the ELC/TRAILER fuse.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to LIFTING & JACKING VEHICLE .

    Important  : When removing the link, do NOT bend or break the sensor arm.

  3. Fig 1: Automatic Level Control Sensor Link Ball Stud

  4. Remove the automatic level control sensor link from the tie rod ball stud.
  5. Remove the ball stud from the rear axle tie rod.
