Removal Procedure

- Raise and support the hood.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly from the vehicle.
- For the 4.3L engine, refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
- For the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L engine, refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the cruise control module.
- Disconnect the cruise control cable from the cruise control module. Refer Cruise Control Cable Replacement .
- Remove the nuts (2) that retain the cruise control module to the cruise control bracket.
- Remove the cruise control module (3) from the cruise control bracket (1).
- Remove the cruise control module (3) from the vehicle.
