Lighting - Park Lamps Don't Come On With Remote Start

Subject:
Park Lamps Do Not Illuminate Intermittently During a Remote Vehicle Start (Replace BCM)

Models:
2006 Chevrolet HHR

with Remote Vehicle Start System (RPO AP3)

Condition

Some customers may comment that the park lamps do not illuminate intermittently during a Remote Vehicle Start (RVS).

Cause

This condition may be caused by a software anomaly in the Body Control Module (BCM).

Correction

Technicians are to replace the BCM with P/N 15910666 to correct this condition. Refer to the Body Control Module Replacement and procedure in SI (Document ID # 1616353). The new BCM will also require setup. Refer to the Body Control Module (BCM) Programming/RPO Configuration procedure in SI (Document ID # 1630323).
