Removal Procedure

    Fig 1: Negative Battery Cable

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  2. Open the positive battery cable cover (2).
  3. Loosen the positive battery cable nut (1).
  4. Remove the positive battery cable from the battery.

  5. Disconnect the battery vent tube from the battery.

  6. Remove the battery hold down retainer bolts.
  7. Remove the battery hold down retainers.
    8. IMPORTANT: Do not tip the battery more than 40 degrees during removal.
  8. Remove the battery.
