Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front

Seat Back Frame Replacement - Front

Callout Component Name
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Fastener Tightening Specifications:  Refer to Fastener Tightening Specifications .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the front bucket seat. Refer to Seat Replacement - Front Bucket .
  2. Re-zero the inflatable restraint passenger presence system whenever the seat cushion or any component of the passenger presence system is removed. Refer to Passenger Presence System Rezeroing Procedure .
1 Pocket, Seat Back Cushion
2 Panel, Seat Back Cushion
Tip:  Pull from the bottom edge of the panel to remove.
3 Head Restraint Assembly
Tip:  Push in the button on the head restraint guides to release the head restraint from the seat.
4 Guide, Head Restraint (Qty: 2)
Tip:  Squeeze the bottom of the guide and push upward to remove.
5 Cover, Seat Back Cushion
Tip:  Remove the hog rings that attach the seat cushion cover to the seat cushion.
6 Pad, Seat Back Cushion
7 Retainer, Seat Power Lumbar Support (Qty: 5)
8 Support Assembly, Seat Power Lumbar
9 Handle, Seat Recliner
Refer to Seat Back Recliner Handle Replacement - Front .
11 Cover, Seat Adjuster Finish Cover
Refer to Seat Adjuster Track Cover Replacement - Front .
13 Pretensioner Assembly, Front Seat Belt Buckle
Refer to Seat Belt Buckle Pretensioner Replacement .
14 Cover, Seat Cushion
Refer to Seat Cushion Cover Replacement - Front .
15 Pad, Seat Cushion
Tip:  Disconnect electrical connector if equipped with passenger presence system.
16 Bolt, Seat Cushion Frame (Qty: 4)

Tighten:  25 N.m (18 lb ft)

17 Frame Assembly, Seat Cushion
19 Bolt, Seat Back Cushion Frame (Qty: 4)

Tighten:  25 N.m (18 lb ft)

20 Frame Assembly, Seat Back Cushion
