Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Buick LaCrosse and 2005 Buick Allure. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Position the radio to the I/P.
  2. Connect the I/P wiring harness connectors and the antenna cable connector to the radio.

    IMPORTANT: If the radio locator is difficult to align to the I/P locator opening, pull the radio toward you and reposition the antenna cable.
  4. Install the radio to the I/P.

    Align the radio locator to the hole in the I/P while pressing the radio into position.

  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the radio screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  7. Install the drivers information center switch bank. Refer to Driver Information Center Switch Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  8. Install the HVAC control assembly. Refer to HVAC Control Assembly Replacement in HVAC Systems - Manual.
  9. Perform the radio set up procedure for new radios. Refer to Radio Setup .
