Installation Procedure

Install the generator bracket.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Install the generator bracket bolts.
Tighten: Tighten the bolts in sequence to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

Install the drive belt tensioner.
Install the drive belt tensioner bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
Install the drive belt idler pulley.
Install the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LE5) or Generator Replacement (LZ4) or Generator Replacement (LY7) .
Rotate the drive belt tensioner counterclockwise.
Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LZ4, LY7, and LE5) or Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (LAT) .
