Manifold Pressure/Vacuum Sensor: Service and Repair




Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor.




2. Remove the MAP sensor screw (1).
3. Remove the MAP sensor (2).
4. Inspect the MAP sensor seal for damage, replace as necessary.

Installation Procedure




1. Lubricate the MAP sensor seal with clean engine oil.
2. Install the MAP sensor (2).

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the MAP sensor screw (1).

Tighten the screw to 9 Nm (80 lb in).




4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the MAP sensor.
