Preliminary Procedure 
Remove the left side trim panel. Refer to Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Acadia with TB5) , Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Traverse with TB5) , Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Traverse with TB4) , Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Enclave with TB5) , Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Acadia with TB4) , Quarter Lower Rear Trim Panel Replacement (Enclave with TB4) .
1 Liftgate Actuator Rod
WARNING:

When a lift gate hold open device is being removed or installed, provide alternate support to avoid the possibility of damage to the vehicle or personal injury.

Procedure

  1. Release the locking tabs on the actuator rod.
  2. Calibrate the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Calibration .
