Theft Deterrent Module Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disable the SIR. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
2. Remove the trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
3. Remove the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement Removal and Replacement.
4. Remove the theft deterrent module (TDM) wiring harness from the steering column harness.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.




6. Pull the TDM (2) away from the lock cylinder housing (1).

Installation Procedure




1. Push the TDM (2) onto the lock cylinder housing (1).
2. Install the theft deterrent wiring harness to the steering column harness.
3. Connect the electrical connector.
4. Install the ignition lock cylinder. Refer to Ignition Lock Cylinder Replacement Removal and Replacement.
5. Replace the steering column trim covers. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement Steering Column Trim Covers Replacement.
6. Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Service and Repair.
