SERVICE INFORMATION
The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
CONDITION/CONCERN:
Some customers may complain of a MIL shortly after starting the vehicle. Upon inspection, DTC P062F and/or P0191 will be stored in history but it is unlikely that the technician will be able to get either DTC to reset due to the intermittent nature of this concern. On rare occasions, reduced engine power mode may also be experienced when the DTC sets.
This may be the result of an ECM calibration concern.
RECOMMENDATION/INSTRUCTIONS:
If this concern is encountered, reprogram the ECM with the latest TIS2Web calibrations, which contain an updated Engine Diagnostic calibration that is designed to address this concern and is titled "New calibration with diagnostic enhancements for DTCs P0191 and P062F". If either DTC continues to reset after reprogramming the ECM, perform SI diagnosis for the related DTC and repair as necessary.
ADDITIONAL SI KEYWORDS:
fuel rail pressure sensor replacement
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
