Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator (3) to the generator mounting bracket.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the generator to generator bracket retaining studs (2) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
  3. Install the generator to generator bracket retaining nuts (1) and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

  4. Install the battery positive lead and the generator terminal nut (2) to the generator and tighten to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
  5. Install the terminal boot (1).
  6. Connect the electrical connector (4) to the generator.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Install the drive belt to the generator. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
  9. Connect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Primary) , Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary) .
