Generator Bracket Replacement (L77)

Removal Procedure

Warning:
Refer to Safety Glasses Warning Safety Glasses Warning.


1. Ignition OFF.

2. Remove the alternator. Refer to Generator Replacement (L77) Generator ReplacementGenerator Replacement (LFX) Generator Replacement.





3. Remove the alternator bracket to engine block mounting bolt (1).

4. Remove the alternator bracket (2) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the alternator bracket (3) to the engine block.

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

2. Install the alternator bracket to engine block mounting bolts (1,2). Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown. Tighten the bolt (1) to 58 Nm (43 lb ft) and the bolts (2) to 58 Nm (43 lb ft).
