Transfer Case Fluid Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair.

2. Remove the drain plug (1).

3. Remove the fill plug (2)

Installation Procedure





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

1. Install the drain plug (1) and tighten to 39 Nm (29 lb ft).

2. Fill the transfer case with synthetic hypoid 75W-90 to the bottom of the fill plug hole, when the vehicle is on a level surface.

3. Install the fill plug (2) and tighten to 39 Nm (29 lb ft).

4. Lower the vehicle.
