Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection 
  2. Remove the battery positive cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Positive and Negative Cable Replacement (LFW) , Battery Positive and Negative Cable Replacement (LEA) 
1 Battery Retainer Nut
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
2 Battery Retainer
3 Battery
TIP:  Remove any corrosion on the battery cable clamps.
