Installation Procedure

  1. Install the knock sensor.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install the knock sensor bolt and tighten to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

    NOTE:

    Rotate the knock sensor electrical connector 90 degrees from vertical before securing the fastener.

  3. Install the knock sensor electrical connector (4) to the oil level indicator tube bracket.
  4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (3) to the knock sensor electrical connector (4).
